ESB's IPBS-partner Lancaster continues surge in FT MBA 2006 rankings
09/02/2006:Dear Alumni Our IPBS-partner in the United Kingdom, the Lancaster University Management School, successfully establishs itself as rising star in business education in the United Kingdom and Europe. We are proud of our IPBS-partnership with a program that ranks among the top 10 in the European Union, and among the top 30 globally. In addition, Lancaster's PhD programme is again ranked by the FT in the world?s top 10 doctoral programmes. The latest global ranking of the world?s leading full-time MBA programmes, published by the Financial Times on Monday 30 January 2006, confirms Lancaster?s position as one of the UK?s top-ranked schools, and amongst the world?s top 30. Only one business school in the world can beat Lancaster?s meteoric rise over the last three years up to 30th in the world, and 2nd in the UK's 1-year MBA programmes. Dean of LUMS Professor Sue Cox said: "This latest external evidence of our excellence comes hot on the heels of our outstanding student satisfaction rating (1st in the UK) and the announcement last week of our hosting the Northern Leadership Academy. These are exciting times at Lancaster University Management School, and many colleagues and alumni can take quiet satisfaction at the results of their hard work. The investment in exceptional international faculty and new facilities here at Lancaster during the past few years has been tremendous, and the new FT ranking is a welcome but not surprising confirmation of the quality of this outstanding school." |
