Martina Stegmeier (IPBS D/E 2004) new President & CEO of the GACC South in Atlanta

Martina, congratulations to your new position and all the best!

Dear Members and Friends,

After a diligent three-month search, I am pleased to announce our new President & CEO, Ms. Martina Stegmeier. My fellow board members of the GACC South and I, along with the aid of the DIHK, have been reviewing candidates and believe that Ms. Stegmeier, with all of her specific experience with our organization, is the best choice.

Ms. Stegmeier was born in Munich and earned a double degree in Business Administration from the European School of Business in Reutlingen, Germany, and the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain. After starting as a trainee in the Consulting Services department of the GACC South in 2004, she worked her way through the organization, ultimately becoming Director of Consulting Services in 2008 and Vice President in 2010. At the same time, she pursued and earned her Master of Business Administration from Emory University's Goizueta Business School.

During her six and a half year tenure with the GACC South, she proved to be an incredible asset, constantly challenging herself and her colleagues to reach new goals and keep the GACC South striving. It is with that in mind that I am incredibly pleased that we have chosen her to take on the new role of President & CEO, where I expect her forward-thinking and hard work to be a valuable asset to the chamber.

Ms. Stegmeier's official start-date will be March 1, 2012. Please join me in welcoming her back to the GACC South.
